I think this is could be a good match since he definitely likes fantasy. Although he did produced Hercules and Xena, he's also the producer on the current fantasy series "Legend of the Seeker" which I like more than I thought I would. And based on the look of Evil Dead III and the monsters from just about any of his films, I think his style matches the material. It just needs a good script.
